Chloe, thank you for this beauty. I normally would rather read than listen but I listened just now to you reading your writing and wept. Thank you for this beauty.
Another lovely piece of writing from your deep and sensitive soul. Thank you Chloe. I am also making my way very slowly through The Deep End. I am getting the recommended reading, thinking, writing, meditating. It will take a long time but every step is precious. Thank you for all that too.
This morning I was wondering when next I would get to read one of your pieces. I finished watching Jane Goodall's interview she requested be released upon her passing, and then "To Swallow The Sky" arrived in my inbox. Again you paint this beautiful dance of existence with your words and I feel as though I have gotten to look at the world with a dear friend. The hope that is alive in me, the hope that Jane Goodall speaks of, reminds me that it is there. And imagine my delight to read that you are in Cape Town, our Mother City. I am about to go walking on our mountain, and now it will be with an extra spring in my step. If you ever happen to do a reading of your work in a city that I am in, I would love to get to sit in and listen. Enjoy the beautiful day and our beautiful country. Thank you for what you see and for how you share it.
Wonderful post, as always! The dog-human relationship is interesting . . . you seem to have highlighted the fact that it's deeper in certain ways than one would first think. It certainly seems to be the case that dog lovers are more, in short, "in tune with" or empathetic towards nature. It's like, having the dogs--these non-human beings--around makes us more human.
Dear Wordsmith Chloe your words today are like a fine filigree of purest gold weaving truth pain suffering and joy into a acorn such as held by Julian of Norwich
That is a very fine leaf indeed, to be admired and complimented greatly. Sending much love to Bailey and Bella and to you, dear Chloe, and thanks for another deep and moving story. Your words continue to unravel the inherited sociopathy of our species. Much love x

This was so beautiful & rich, and I too want to let myself open. Thank you. 💓
Exhale… A heart full, and a lump in the throat. Those eyes. Love to you and Bailey.
This ripped my heart open in the best of ways. Thank you. 🙏
